Hi Rajneesh,

I've just finished reading Tears of the Mystic Rose for the second time.
Just like the first time after I closed the book I just lay still and silent feeling my body pulsating. A very blissful state.

Even as I read it I would fall into gaps of silence.
Or sometimes I was very aware of my hand turning the pages very slowly
and then I would just stop reading
and stare at my hand without any thoughts.
Sometimes I cried.

For me the most important part of the Mystic Rose is how you started to meditate just by yourself with nobody to guide you.
Such perseverence. This is a quality I lack but have always wanted to grow.
Also I feel very clearly that unless
I make meditation a constant undercurrent in my life
I will always live in misery and suffering.
I hope that reading about your fire will somehow spark my own fire.

I didn't have the fortune to see Osho while he was still alive.
But the way you write about him...Almost like a direct experience for me.
I feel so much love for him, so much gratitude.
It is difficult to write because I feel very silent.
And it is really impossible to express what I feel.
It is something immense and beautiful and mystical.

Yes, my mind tried to interfere all the time,
especially when I read about the descents of great masters
and transmission of the lamp.
For an ordinary human being...Reading things like that...
but there was also another part of me
that just absorbed it without asking any questions.
Somehow all questions seemed irrelevant. I just trusted.
I know that nobody will ever give me 100 per cent proof.
The same was happening when I did a camp with you.
At some point I just began to trust you.

You also reignited my old passion for tai chi.
I even tried to enroll in tai chi classes.
I introduced myself as Amrita It's my sannyasin name
and I prefer to use it whenever I can.
But as soon as the teacher heard this name
and discovered that I am a sannyasin he became very hostile.
He said "we want normal, down-to-earth people here,
not somebody who thinks that tai chi is some stupid meditation"
Still, I attended several classes
and he is actually a good teacher
but I think I'll stop them because I cannot handle this hostility right now.
I am not that strong.

I don't know what else to write…
I know you don't like people bowing to you but I bow to your feet.

okay, so I want to say here and now that i have read rajneesh's book
and i declare that osho is coming through him.
now that is my feeling... he is not doing this for any egoistic purpose...
he simply recognizes a need for osho to appear in the world...
and he would like to serve as a hollow bamboo...
and he's been simply reexamining his past life and seeing what he may have done wrong...
and this is his way of repenting for it.

could that be ? or you think i am crazy ? i could be.
but it's fun, isn't it ? would you desert me just because i went crazy ?
what kind of a friend you are ?

and osho must be somewhere
could that somewhere be here ?
could that sometime be now ?

well, folks the spirit of osho lives
just as the spirit of pythagoras lives
and we can be the vehicles of the great spirit
you know, it all starts with the imagination

have you heard ?
that which can be conceived by the mind of man can be achieved !
so it all starts in the imagination

you want a different reality ? do you ?
then you will have to imagine the result you want and how good you
feel having accomplished it

i imagine that osho is in me and maybe he's in you too
but the question in my mind is do you really exist ?
or is it just me and i'm imagining you ?

rajneesh- in your book ,Tears of the Mystic Rose- you said that you had a deep inner experience that broke you through to this space of no-mind and of course many others-

i also have had some profound break-through going within -but of couse not as deep as you and that was just recently for me - within the last two months- and i am continuing going more and more deeper into the inner with eye shut- and after over thirty years as an sannaysin it is a beautiful time in my life.

and of course when you first came on the list several months ago- i pre-judged you - probably my ego- such jealousy came up - but after i read your endearing book - i feel so much love for you and your journey from start to finish and this has given me so much more -

determination to go deeper and deeper - thanks you for description of the details and explaning all the trials and tribullations of your path to complete enlightenment.

what the Pune Ashram did to you - i felt the same way toward those ass-holes that were running the commune in Oregon - as i was there for three years and i had hated these so-called inner-circle idiots-but perhaps i needed that
treatment -( i don't know why?)

-I remember once i was so-pissed off at the way a lot of the leaders were - that i climbed a high mountian at lunch time instead to going to the lunch building and was looking at Osho's compound and very upset about being there -and of course at Osho too- when suddenly in had a urge to eat an apple and even stated it,"I wished i had an apple!"- then shortly later- i started back down the hill and then i looked up and on a rock - shoulder high- there was a delicious apple just sitting there- Wow! i i grabbed it and ate it and it was the most delicious apple i have ever eaten- i thought then at that moment- and ran happly down the mountain path to re-join this blessed sannyasin world.

and -through-out the duration of my time there even-though it wasn't always so pleasant i never forgot that miracle. of the apple on the mountain top.

you know life is such a great adventure, probably the greatest!, and full of so many pleasant surprise!- if one is just available in this immediate moment.

Yes, Kyoto is a very beautiful place
In one of the Buddhist Temple in Kyoto, Koryuji-temple there is a very beatiful statue of Maitreya that is loved by many Japanese.
The statue is very similar to the one you have in your garden that I saw on your website...

I have known Japanese sannyasins over many years and I feel few are really open to OSHO and what He says and busy with their own things.
They are not as aggressive as westerns but same jealousy, judgment...
If someone becomes enlightened, they are ready to destroy him/her.

I was translating in meditation camps when an Indian friend Sw Gyan Asanga used to come to Japan and when Sw Shailendra, OSHO's younger brother with his wife Ma Priya and their teacher Sw Anand Siddhartha conducted meditation groups.

It was OK, but I also saw unconscious games of teachers, participants and organizers.
And felt that people don't really want to receive what OSHO has to offer.

Slowly I started to keep myself away from sannyasins

And now OSHO and Gautama Buddha as Maitreya are one with you.
How are they going to take the truth...
Not only sannyasins but also Buddhists
to receive the truth, we have to let go our own ideas totally

I feel it will need a careful preparationn in Japan so that You and Your work are well protected.

It was December 26 1988, on my 29th birthday I went to Buddha Hall before the discourse and bow down to OSHO asking Him in my heart "My Beloved Master, I offer myself to you.
Please let me work for You."

As You know very well, in those days
OSHO was very ill and not coming out to the discourse.
But to my surprise OSHO came out to the Budha Hall that evening and started speaking about Govind Siddharth's vision that Gautam Buddha's soul has been searching for a body.
OSHO said " I was waiting for the recognition from a Zen source that Gautam the Buddha is trying to use my words and my silences, my heartbeats and my inner sky to create a few more rainbows, to spread a few more flowers in the world. "(No Mind:The flowers of Eternity,Chapter 1)

Now the time has come.
You are with us, our Beloved Friend Rajneesh a few more rainbows and a few more flowers are spreading in the world

became Osho. Very nice website, hundreds of photos, free book. Very 70s and

in March 2008 i came for a short visit with Sw. Ashish
and would leave for Igatpuri Vipassana retreat only two days after

such a beautiful time we shared together
happy to hear that you take care of ashram story

you also tried to organize taxi for me
thanks so much for your warmth and caring

Igatpuri Vipassana retreat was powerful experience
on day 7 reawakening of kundalini energy happened again

and up to now great energy level continues
what divine gifts i received ...and it's going on and on and on...

i deeply got touched when i learned that we met already in 1989
you were walking slowly with black cloths

an Indian friend would introduce you to me
"he always walks like this, Osho told him to do so"

and you would gaze at me
with this wide, wide open eyes for a very long moment

i was only a 19 years teenage girl and very shy

"o my god, i never would dare to walk like this"
i thought and was full of respect for your individual life style

when beloved Osho would let us know that only a few can understand
i was so sad being very young and not to understand

but one day wanted to understand...

only 18 years later i returned back to India in 2007
meanwhile raising my daughter and becoming a medical doctor

and such great joy in my heart
very deep understanding happened in Osho samadhi

My husband was happy to hear from you.
He and I used be high school classmate in Tokyo.
I left everything in Japan and went to Poona in 1979.
We met after 25 years since high school and got married.

When I took sannyas
Osho gave me a name ma narayani, said it means divine and told me that the lotus flower grows in mud.
The journey began...
After Poona, I went to America then Poona again.
While in America I lived on the Ranch for several month.
I worked on the farm. Yes it was really muddy.
The lotus needs mud to grow...

I knew that what you have experienced among sannyasins were true.
While I was waiting for your book to arrive I had a dream.
There were many pieces of mirrors among sannyasins and I was so touched that how compassionate those mirrors are to be there since mirrors don't have any personality, they are just there showing us our own faces.

When I woke up I realized those mirrors are Osho.

I will not see You in Russia, because i live in the united States, and I am actually almost a neighbor to Arhata Osho: he lives in Townsend, Washington State, and I live in Montana. We exchange e-mails with Arhata often, and we spoke about You when all this mess started around Your Book.

I applaud you for sending the Book out: people NEED TO KNOW!!! Some have had some doubts, but they cannot put the puzzle together, as there were people who tried their hardest to make the maze as complicated as possible...

I am so sorry for all the pain, physical, and inner, that you went through, especially the one that was caused by jealousy and envy of people who forgot to connect with their hearts...

Also, reading Your Book, I feel more that I'd wish we could meet for real and join in Silence for awhile...

because there is so much i relate to in Your experience... including the Sphere of Light above me, only My Sphere has been of Bright Orange... I have many things that happened to me in very similar ways as they happened to You. I have not seen my previous lives, but we have a deep feeling with Arhata that we have met before, and maybe it was Kashmir; also, Tibet is my homeland frome previous lives, I remember the places there, and I know my task in the monastery was to work with the scriptures: these long wooden plates with letters are so familiar to me, gratefully and caringly wrapped into fabrics... I do not remember much but the rememberances that stay with me, are very clear and vivid. It would be so interesting to meet with You, and Talk...

Have you observed ? sometimes you come across
a couple, a wife and husband. Who look alike.
They talk in the same way, they walk in the same way, they smile in the same way.
There is a deep affinity. What has happened ?
They are not brother and sister,
so why are they so alike ?
they love each other and they love deepy.
When you love someone you are vunerable.
The other changes you, and you go on changing
the other, by the time life comes to an end,
if wife and husband really love each other,
they will be almost alike.
It has to be so. Love transforms.

Naturally, this kind of state is infectious.
Seeing me, being here in my presence, looking into my eyes…
even watching my hands, you can feel that they are the gestures of a silent man.
Slowly, slowly you become infected, contagious; moreover,
around a silent man there is a certain energy field created….
A man of silence moves with
a certain field of energy around him,
and if you are receptive, his vibe starts touching your heart.

Have you noticed?
A husband and wife, if they have really been in love,
non-possessive, non-jealous - and if they have helped each other
to remain individuals and they have deep respect for
each other - living a long life, for fifty years together,
you will be surprised to know…

it is a well-known fact noticed down the ages
that they start looking almost the same.
Their voices, their eyes, their faces, their gestures… they become so harmonious with each other. Certainly, between a master and disciple the phenomenon is a millionfold greater…

In this state of freedom the master and disciple can come closest, and naturally energy flows from the higher to the lower. It is just like water coming from a mountaintop towards the valley. Lao Tzu has actually called his philosophy of life “the watercourse way.” When the master and disciple are so deeply in tune, because they are not in any bondage, both are meeting out of their freedom — and an authentic master never thinks himself higher than the disciple, although the authentic disciple can conceive of the master as higher than anything — energy flows slowly to the depths of your being. Meditation becomes almost a by-product; silence happens on its own accord. Your heart itself starts dancing with the master….It is enough that you enjoy the song of the master. Your enjoyment will bring you closer. It is enough that you enjoy the dance; it will make you dance. It is enough that you love the celebration, the very idea that life is celebration.
And then slowly, slowly there is a melting and a merging. A time comes when it is difficult to find
who is the master and who is the disciple.

Masters and disciples, if they have lived long enough in tune with each other, become almost alike —
without any effort of trying to become alike, because that would be forced and that would be false and that would be hypocrisy. Just dancing together, sitting together, being silent together, a merging is bound to happen.

regarding outer impersonation :

if i wear a maroon lungi
i am called an impersonater of acharya rajneesh
if i sit on the floor and speak
they say i immitate acharya rajneesh days
if i sit on a chair and speak i am immitating osho days
if i stand still and look around
it reminds them of me immitating osho
if i walk slowly it reminds them of osho
if i close my eyes and move my hands
it is immitating osho

is the moon a safe place these days ??
do they need a guru impersonater there ??
is there freedom to moon walk float and glide there ??

sorry to say…
but i cannot help you here…on these fronts

unfortunately for osho i have a waist length hair…
and an acharya rajneesh impersonater

i hate dyeing beards…
which acharya rajneesh had done black every month

I read the mystic Rose, through silent
slowly dripping tears in my eyes,
because the sun poured out on me
I felt this incredible lightness,
going through your words,
my own life was exposed totally before me,
going through all vacancies of Love,
life and death, nothing else to ‘do’
than to be in silence, just Trusting,
no remorse, no sorry, not wanting for darkness or lightness,

40 years Maharishi guiding me in meditation
Osho guiding me in Tantra Yoga, my other friends,
Ramana, Jesus, Shri Youkteswar, Shri Saraswati
whispered words of wisdom in my ears,
I spoke to them in my dreams,
life, love, embracing all (dis)appointments,
my life is taking care for the living, the dead and the dying

All I found: An open heart is what really matters
I don’t care any more how many gods there are,

I remember the night OSHO pointed at you in Buddha Hall I remember His face, His look, ferocious Bodhidarma...

I have never seen such an expression on His Face as if he was going to kill someone.
He could kill just the way He looked
Now I realized He killed You
What a moment I witnessed !

I will never forget.
The music stopped and silence, deep silence I opened my eyes and saw He was pointing at someone, His target.
Such energy, so much intensity
Something very deep was happenning
I closed my eyes again, went inside.

Just remembering that moment in Buddha Hall takes me into deep silence.

OSHO has sent a very special message to Japan that He has kept His promise and came back as Maitreya after 2500 years.

Rajneesh- from my limited understanding- perhaps the body-mind phenomena or vehicle can not take a huge amount of the Samadi blast all at once-

Even Osho mentioned that some people actually die in the process.

and your process is so beautiful described-and so inspiring for the rest of us- the sincere seekers.

and i also feel that the small experiences that i have had are existence way of preparing me for the moment when i will experience a major break- through- in this life time or the next.

and since reading your book and conversing with you about several of my experience- my meditation have become more intense- and my love for Osho and you -mostly Osho since he is the one that initiated me into sannyas in 1977-

this love is growing perhaps to the devotee level each and everyday.

I am so happy you picked a special number for me! It means alot. It is a Great Blessing for me!

I am happy I can walk together with you, this is what I felt in 1982 also, walking with Bhagwan, without judgement, without restrictions. The past is gone, we can flower again and again, and we will, all with our own special brand of flowers. A Rose is a Rose is a Rose.

The Buddhafield is alive, the Buddhafield has never gone, I always senced that. And being at distance I have had time to meet other great teachers. So beautiful to see flowers in all colors. UG Krishnamurti past away last year, but the field stays alive, we are the Buddhafield with mountains and valleys, bright and dark, silent and loud.

Most Revered Swami Osho Rajneesh:

I have just finished reading your wondrous biography “Tears of the Mystic Rose”. I have also read your open letter to the sannyasins currently running the Pune resort and some of the correspondence on your website. It occurs to me that many of these disciples of OSHO who opposed you while you were at the ashram and continue to stand against you are really materialists in the strictest sense of the word. By that I mean not that they are concerned with money, but rather that they take the world of matter, the external world, to be the ultimate reality. For this reason, they could never imagine that someone like yourself was mystically and elementally connected to OSHO long before you ever laid eyes on him or even saw his photograph in a magazine. These so called sannyasins naturally assumed that your vipassana slow walking and other physical attributes that mirrored those of OSHO were mere attempts to imitate the master. Whereas from reading your book, it is obvious that these actions were no more your conscious choice than your breathing. Clearly you were totally immersed in, and suffused with the spirit of OSHO.

Naturally, in an ashram environment were ordinary everyday ego often mutates into spiritual ego, these disciples were threatened and enraged by seeing someone who so fully embodied the essence and even outward appearance of their master. I have myself never had, or even met, an outer master or guru, but have felt a great connection with OSHO, Bhagwan Shri Ramana Maharshi, Nisargadatta Maharaj, J. Krishnamurti and Papaji (H.W.L. Poonja). I have, however, met quite a few devotees of OSHO, some who even professed to be close to him. What I noticed about almost all of them, was that, despite all of OSHO’s teaching, they took awakening or enlightenment as an object to be attained-an achievement as opposed to a spontaneous inner flowering. Amongst these sannyasins, there arose a sense of competition over who was enlightened, who was getting enlightened etc. After OSHO’s mahasamadhi, many of these Sannyasins travelled to Lucknow for satsang with Papaji. His style of teaching was firmly rooted in the Upanishadic premise of “Tat tvam asi.” In other words, no matter who came to be in front of him, his teaching essentially was, “”you are already awakened, do nothing just be still and drop your idea that you are in bondage.” Unfortunately when these former disciples of OSHO came home from Lucknow, mostly back to the U.S., they would frequently get into competition with their fellow sannyasins trying to assert their enlightenment and deny the others. Such dualistic and egoic notions are to be found frequently in spiritual circles. A realized living master such as OSHO, a living Buddha, sometimes causes great internal upheavals in his disciples.

I feel you are the living embodiment of OSHO and you have, just through the course of your life, undergone great tapasya due to your pure and never ending bhakti. Most of his disciples could never even conceive of such transcending selfless love. OSHO himself, from what I have heard and read, was something of a rebel and spoke out many times against mediocrity, hypocrisy, false religiosity and human institutions. You are continuing his great work.

is the samadhi a mundane matter ?
is breaking the podium a mundane matter ?
is barring and removing all osho photos from the resort a mundane matter ?
is banning wearing the mala a mundane matter ?
is singing osho songs a munane matter ?
is banning prem joshua milerapa dhyanam giten satyapriya sarjano
harideva neelam tathagat keerti premabhay
and hundreds of our beloved devotees
and lovers of osho a mundane matter ??

these are spiritual considerations !!

and osho has clearly mentioned that the inner circle
is not to interfere into spiritual considerations
nor is it to discuss philosophy

they are simply to do their functional jobs
and take care of practial matters…fullstop !!!
and fullstop means fullstop !!!

they are creating their own philosophy
and guidelines based on their own unconcious ideas
with their narrow judgmental opinions…and that
too all are divided and fighting as16 of the orignal inner circle
have been removed or displaced or left in disgust

remember…the inner circle are not masters
nor caretakers of his vision and his messsage

so let us not make them into highly elevated powerful people
in control of osho legacywhich is for the larger humanity
and for millions of seekers down the ages

as the inner circle of 21 baboons continue to misuse their powers
i am announcing to the world of sannyasins at large
that i have decided to take the matter
of our beloved master osho samadhi
to the courts

banning is the lowest and form of blackmail
this is an ugly and childish form of emotional blackmail
that is simple barbaric primitive and manipulative

reward and punisment
this crude and ugly method is a stupid way
to make a sannyasin into a donkey
a carrot and stick method of reward and punishment
to create fear of banning to control others
obey us and we reward you...do not obey and be punished

control freedom of expression
banning is to control the freedom of expression
to control the rebelious spirit
these are the ugly ways of people in borrowed power
to dominate the individual and the rebel

using fear to control
banning is using fear as a way to control
and humiliate those who do not obey
and to publicly ostracize individuals
who refuse to fall in line with authority
banning also serves those in authority to create fear in others
and to show their power and control over others freedom
who live in fear of similar punishment

create divisions in sannyasins
authority is always manuplative and creates divisions by use of fear
this creates divisions amongst sannyasins
who are always looking over their shoulders at who is watching them
and their behaviour and actions and words about those in power

are sannyasins school children in a nursery school
or rebels seeking the fire of truth in a mystery school

sannyasins are being reduced to herding sheep and cowards
who dare not speak or express themselves freely

trespassing into anothers spiritual freedom
no one has the right to interfere into anothers freedom
spiritual freedom of the individual is most precious

individual versus the organisation
no organisation has the right to judge condemn
and ridicule an individual
freedom is of the ultimate value
freedom of the individual comes first
freedom of expression a birthright

spiritual versus mundane matters
osho gave a clear mandate to take care of mundane matters
and not to interfere into spiritual matters
what are mundane matters and what are spiritual matters
is the deciding line between use and misuse of power

as the inner circle of 21 baboons continue to misuse their powers
i am announcing the world of sannyasins at large
that i have decided to take this matter of my freedom to enter the samadhi to the courts

wrongly ban whosoever you wish from your imprisonment resort
osho samadhi is not your personal property
and you need to respect fundamental rights

it is my constitutional right

Swami Rajneesh I make it very simple, just few message I have a simple message. Create a little bit of silence, stillness. Slowly slowly peak the stillness. raise it as high as possible. When you peak search and you will understand what I am saying. It is a state of no mind where you are and that is what you are hear to experience.

As an energetic phenomena. You didn't come here to listen what I have to say i may be very eloquent i may be very well versed I could be stupid i could not speak there are so many masters who are not been able to say a single word are they any less who are been so eloquent as Osho or Ramana Shri. How about Shirdi. How about Meher Baba.

What will you go and observe these people their linguistic skills. Then all these western therapist know no more than any of these eastern mystics or any body who have become enlightened.
Those people are doub-founded they don't know how to express and their message is very simple.

Awake to the state of no mind and there is only simple way by living in totally. Live totally
and you will arrive to that state. You don't need to do any thing. You don't need any thing. Just few and simple understanding and second part stop. It is already stopped you. You know what that stop means, so don't go to search your mind.

They say you are beyond the mind, drop the mind. I say don't drop any thing, just transcend and go beyond and that is such a simple way even child knows how to do it. Just going beyond the state is not dropping it. You don't need to drop this, just the shadow, because you are in lower state. Just go beyond into that orgasmic state. Mind is not present, So don't go about looking for it to drop it. For when u will drop the mind and you will get enlightened.
